We take pride in the work we carry out and quality control is something we strive to maintain from commencement of the project through to completion.
We have a dedicated health and safety consultant to ensure we exceed second to none within the relevant Codes of Practice on our sites. All of our staff hold cscs cards and are trained in manual handling and pasma where relevant. in addition each site has a trained site manager and an individual competent in both fire safety and first aid.

Quality Assurance systems are a fundamental component of our business philosophy and these systems span all phases of the project life cycle, from preliminary feasibility analysis and concept development through to final commissioning of a project.
Meeting the systems objectives requires a clear understanding of the qualitative and quantitative principles of management, costing, programme and delivery which applies to each project.
Our systems are continually audited by internal auditors as part of our certified Quality Management System. We also operate a project specific Quality Control Plan for each project to ensure that Client and Design Team expectations and specifications are achieved.
Ferndale has a proactive approach to Health and Safety, alongside the environment it is at the heart of our business strategy.
We continuously strive to improve our performance and retain the services of an in house Health and Safety advisory team to ensure compliance with current Legislation in addition to adopting and in some cases exceeding the principles contained within the relevant Codes of Practice.
We are committed to continuous improvement of our safety standards and performance, with ‘zero- accidents’ as a target for each of our sites. Our comprehensive and externally audited Health and Safety management system is well established and includes compulsory training and induction for our employees and sub-contractors.
Our OHSAS 18001, CHAS, and Safecontractor certification is demonstrable evidence of our ongoing commitment to protect our staff and all other third parties who come into contact with us or are affected by our activities on site.

ENVIRONMENT
Our prestige quality management system has gained independent external certification to the internationally recognised standard ISO 9001:2008 and includes Design and Build elements.
In addition to achieving the ISO 9001 standard our systems have been externally audited and certified by Achilles, Exor, Constructionline and firas in connection with the installation of fire resisting doors.
Our ISO 14001 certification sets the benchmark for Ferndale’s environmental ambitions as we are committed to reducing our carbon footprint and working towards more environmentally friendly construction methods.
We recognise it is a measure by which we are judged by our staff, clients and business partners, and therefore is a critical factor for our business and its long term success.
We regularly engage with authorities, clients and our supply chain to promote the use of recyclable and reusable materials.
We develop Environmental Action Plans for each of our projects; to ensure that every option is considered to reduce and/or eliminate activates that have a negative impact on the environment.
Within our extensive list of services we provide a timber frame service with materials supplied from managed forests promoting sustainably and eco-friendly practices.
The timber that we use throughout our group comes from FSC approved sources.
